KEARNS -- Two people were stabbed in Kearns early Saturday morning, but police say the attacks are not related.
The first stabbing happened at 1:20 a.m. near 6000 South and 5000 West. Police say a 16-year-old boy was riding in a car with his mom and a friend when he saw a group of people dressed in red outside.
He got out of the car and walked up to the group, which then beat him up and stabbed him. The teen is now in critical condition.

The second stabbing happened nine minutes later, just blocks away near 5400 South and 4200 West. Police say a man was leaving a local restaurant when another man -- also wearing red -- walked up and stabbed him in the chest and stomach.

The man drove himself to the hospital and should be okay. Police haven't made any arrests in either attack.
